The survey on consumers’ attitudes in the consumer products category was conducted for the second time in Croatia under the name ‘Trusted Brands Croatia 2008’. The survey’s primary objective is to find out which brands Croatian customers trust the most in a range of consumer product categories, and to investigate what trust means in terms of brand choice. The research was organised by Reader’s Digest Magazine, issued by Mozaik knjiga, in cooperation with Mediana Fides agency. The survey was conduced for the 8th consecutive year across 18 European countries where the magazine is published. In Croatia, it was supported by the Croatian Chamber of Economy.
22 local and 12 foreign brands scored among the 36 different product categories incorporated in the Croatian survey, most of which were awarded last year too. Winners in the ‘Food industry’ category are: Dukat, Franck, Ožujsko pivo, Kraš, Vindija and Gavrilović. Opel won the award for best car, Gorenje for home appliances, HP for personal computers, Nokia in the Mobile Phone Handset category, VIP for Mobile phone service provider, T-COM for Internet service provider, Generalturist for Holiday company/tour operator, Zagrebačka banka in the ‘Bank/building society’ category and American Express in the ‘Credit card’ category.
Once again INA won the majority of votes in the ‘Fuel retailer’ category. Moreover, INA earned the top ranking competing in all 36 product categories – 65.1 per cent of respondents voted for INA. None of the products included in this survey enjoys such a level of trust.
The award wining ceremony was held on November 4 at Novinarski dom. Bojan Vinek, INA’s spokesperson, received the award.
