Local Community from Rijeka visits MOL Refinery Print
Published: December 24 2009

With the aim to get the general public acquainted with the technology for processing residues through delayed coking, proposed as part of the second phase of Rijeka Oil Refinery modernisation process, on December 9 and 10 Ina organised a visit to the MOL refinery at Szazhalombatta, a town near Budapest where such plant has been operating already for several years.

In fact, this technology was discussed in November as part of the Public Discussion on Study on Environmental Impact when the public demonstrated great interest regarding construction of the proposed plant.

Representatives of local government, ecological association, the local media and citizens of the Town of Rijeka, Kostrena, Bakar and Kraljevica accepted Ina’s invitation. The visit to the mayor of Szazhalombatta Mr Mihaly Vezer and representatives of local Croatian community from this town was also organized.
