History of reporting in INA
A long tradition of efforts to incorporate the principles of sustainable development in our business is shown by the fact that we have published non-financial reports since 1997, as one of the first companies in Croatia. Since 2004 we have published Social Report, in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines.
In 2007, INA's Sustainability Report was aligned with GRI G3 methodology, which is based on reporting on environmental protection and social impacts. The report for 2014 was for the first time consolidated with financial report in the integrated annual report, thus further emphasizing the importance given to sustainable development in the INA Group.
In January 2016, INA won the "Green Frog Award" for the 2014 Annual Report, winning the Deloitte competition for the best sustainability report in Croatia.
INA's efforts in terms of sustainability reporting have been recognised on regional, Centraleuropean level, and, in the competition of more than 70 reports, for two years in a row, it won a special recognition (ie. Disctinction) for sustainability reporting. The Commission especially rewarded the fact that INA, d.d. developed its own approach to creating reports that make social responsibility a key part of the company's development.

INA Group Integrated annual report 2016 was published on 28th of April, 2017. As in the previous year, the report was prepared in accordance with GRI G4 guidelines and Oil and Gas Sector Supplement. The Report successfully completed GRI Materiality Disclosures Services check.
For the first time, an independent revision of six reported non-financial indicators was carried out, including: energy consumption inside of the organisation, total water withdrawal by source, direct greenhouse gas emissions, energy indirect greenhouse gas emissions, total weight of waste by type and disposal method, types of injury and injury rates, occupational diseases, lost days and absenteeism, and total number of work-related fatalities. Based on the procedures and the evidence obtained, the independent auditors confirmed that this six non-financial indicators, reported in INA Group Annual Report 2016, were prepared in accordance with the GRI G4 Guidelines.
