Museum of petroleum engineering

  • INA and town of Ivanić signed a cooperation agreement for establishing the first Croatian oil museum – Museum of petroleum engineering.

    The first oil museum in Croatia will present cultural and monumental heritage of oil industry which has been presented in this area for centuries. INA, who celebrates 50 years this year, in its rich archive has many objects and values related to the oil and gas exploration and production, which could become part of the museum exhibition.
    The museum will be situated close to Ivanić Grad, where the first oil well in Southeast Europe was drilled in 1948. The oil museums traditionally attract a great number of visitors and experts who are interested for the history of oil and gas. The opening of the museum is expected in late 2015.
