Đurđevac, 4 June – INA is the gold sponsor of the 45th Picokijada – oldest tourist event in continental Croatia, which will be held from 28 June to 1 July in Đurđevac. That was announced, among other things, on today held press conference on which this year’s Picokijada program was presented as well as main sponsors.
Picokijada is the most important, the oldest and one of the most visited tourist events in continental Croatia and it is the true guardian of the intangible cultural heritage. The main event is staged Legend of the roosters (“Picokima”), remembering the defence of Đurđevac from Turkish attacks. In addition to abovementioned, “Picokijada” includes a wide range of cultural, sporting, culinary and other events, including, in particular, a parade of arranged carriages“ Podravina od leta do leta” which best represents the old crafts and traditional way of life of the region.Documents
