Tony Cetinski and Magdi Rúzsa a concert held in Osijek

    • Osijek citizens celebrate Croatia’s accession of to the EU with Tony Cetinski and Magdi Rúzsa
    • Audience greeted by the Hungarian DPM and Osijek Mayor
    • At midnight a spectacular fireworks display held

    Zagreb, 1 June – On the occasion of Croatia’s accession to the European Union, a concert of prominent Croatian and Hungarian singers, Tony Cetinski and Magdolna Rúzsa was held in Osijek at St Trinity Square on 30 June, organized by Hungarian Embassy in Croatia in cooperation with City of Osijek, and supported by INA.

    Concert was open for public and has attracted big audience that celebrated Croatia’s accession to the EU with the exceptional performances of these singers, while spectacular fireworks were held at midnight. The gathered were addressed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Hungarian Government, Tibor Navracsics, and the Mayor of the City of Osijek, Ivan Vrkic, who greeted Croatia’s efforts on the path towards the EU and congratulated all Croatian citizens on this historical success.

    Tony Cetinski is one of the most popular signers in Croatia, whose popularity has grown beyond the national borders and confirmed him as one the most recognizable performers in the region. Magdolna Rúzsa is a Hungarian pop singer who won the Hungary’s nationwide talent search contest in 2006. She also represented Hungary at the European Song Contest, where she won ninth place with the song “Unsubstantial Blues.”
