10 years of Fresh Corner – millions of coffees and hot dogs sold and hundreds of reasons for a stop

Zagreb, 15 May 2025 – Last year alone, Fresh Corner sold 65 million cups of coffee and 43 million hot dogs at the European level. If all those hot dogs were lined up one after another, they would stretch from Zagreb to New York.

Fresh Corner is celebrating its 10th birthday this year. The first Fresh Corner was opened in 2015 with the aim of providing a better experience for travelers, and in ten years it has grown into one of the leading retail chains in Europe with more than 1,300 locations.

INA and Tifon – partners in expanding the Fresh Corner experience

In Croatia, this gastro concept is available at 167 locations, namely at INA and Tifon retail outlets, while Fresh Corner coffee, pizza wraps, hot dogs and sandwiches can be purchased at more than 250 locations throughout Croatia.

Last year, 8.53 million cups of coffee were sold at INA retail outlets, while an additional 1.87 million cups were sold at Tifon’s retail outlets. The record holder in the number of coffees sold is the retail location of INA Vukova Gorica – almost 350,000 cups per year.

Customers can enjoy the Fresh Corner offer not only at sales points, but also at events and manifestations throughout Croatia. This special role is played by the Fresh Corner truck, a mobile point of sale that brings coffee, hot dogs, pizza wraps and sandwiches to customers across the country.

“Over the past ten years, Fresh Corner has become a key part of the modernization of our retail outlets – we have transformed classic stops into a new experience that includes quality coffee, delicious food and fast service. We are particularly proud of the development of the offer – we have introduced 100% Arabica on barista machines and a new mix of Arabica and Robusta on self-service. I would also like to highlight the new INA Kvarner retail outlet, which offers a spectacular view, on an important road that connects Istria with the rest of Croatia”, said Zdravka Demeter Bubalo, Operating Director of Consumer services & Retail at INA.

From the first to the thousandth location of Fresh Corner

The first Fresh Corner was opened in Hungary in 2015, and the first Fresh Corner in Croatia was opened in the same year – at the Tifon Jankomir retail outlet in Zagreb. The very next year, 40 million cups of coffee were sold per year, and by 2018, 500 locations had been opened in nine countries. In 2020, 10 million hot dogs were sold, and already in 2021, a thousand locations were opened.

Birthday surprises throughout the year

On the occasion of the 10th birthday, customers can expect various activities. At Tifon locations, special offers have been prepared directly at the points of sale. At INA retail outlets, birthday benefits are implemented through the INA Loyalty program, including monthly offers with a gastronomic assortment, prize games and a current campaign with digital stickers, which users can exchange for various discounts and benefits. As part of the celebration, a virtual birthday wheel of fortune was launched.
