Exploitation field Žutica extended

In the exploitation field Žutica near Ivanić Grad, with Hrastilnica-3 exploratory well, oil is discovered in two reservoirs. During drilling at a depth of about 2,000 meters testing was conducted in two intervals, which indicated significant production of oil and gas. More precise evaluation of new sites and estimation of the hydrocarbons commercial reserve base will be determined by further tests and field development. Latest test data show daily oil production of approximately 1,450 bbl. Given the results of the recently tested Selec-1 wells, it is expected that their daily production will significantly contribute to increasing of production in this area.

“We are very pleased with the positive result of Hrastilnica-3 well, i.e. discovery of new hydrocarbons reserves, not only due to the fact that it is a confirmation of INA experts’ good work, but also because it will surely contribute to the security of supply in the Republic of Croatia. Since only about 15 percent of the Croatian oil market needs are covered by domestic production, each new oil discovery is extremely important, as well as an incentive for future work,“ Želimir Šikonja, INA’s Executive Director for Exploration and Production, said.

After the discovery of new oil field in December 2010, with Selec-1 well, this discovery is the second positive results in a row that came as a result of implementing the Pannonian basin exploration strategy, based on the search for new so-called satellite fields in the Sava Depression.Documents
