Zagreb, 12 September 2023 – With the symbolic signing of a jersey, INA and Tifon announced a one-year collaboration with the Zagreb Handball Club, leading the handball giant into the new season with Fresh Corner as its general sponsor.

INA and Tifon customers get to enjoy Fresh Corner’s pleasant ambiance every day, and today,  INA Headquarters in Zagreb set the same stage for INA and Tifon to announce the sponsorship cooperation with Croatia’s most decorated handball club – Zagreb HC. Zagreb HC players will embark on the pursuit of new titles in the domestic championship and the best possible result in the Machineseeker EHF Champions League with the support of the Fresh Corner brand. The sponsorship agreement was symbolically signed by the President of the Management Board of INA Zsuzsanna Ortutay, the CEO of Tifon Siniša Komenović and Zagreb Handball Club Director Vedran Šupuković.

As Croatia’s largest company, INA has the desire and the honour to support most successful sport organisations and Zagreb HC, as the most trophy-winning Croatian handball club, is a synonym for success. The same can be said of INA and Tifon which have, for years, been successfully developing the Fresh Corner gastro concept, proven to be the first choice of customers. We wish Zagreb HC players a lot of luck and success, who will have their most loyal fans at INA,” said the President of the Management Board of INA Zsuzsanna Ortutay on this occasion.

The CEO of Tifon Siniša Komenović said: “Corporate Social Responsibility is an important segment of our business. We are aware of the importance of sports in Croatia and that is why we are extremely proud that Tifon, through the Fresh Corner brand, is part of this collaboration. Together with the fans all over the country, we will support Zagreb’s handball players on their way to achieving the best possible results.

On behalf of the Zagreb Handball Club, Director Vedran Šupuković addressed those in attendance and pointed out: “It is our great pleasure to be here today with our new friends and partners. INA and Tifon are synonymous with success and top-quality product, and we strive to be a similar example in the field of sports. I believe this cooperation will be fruitful and mutually satisfying. On behalf of all the members of our sports organisation, I sincerely thank the people at INA and Tifon who recognized our value and decided to offer us the hand of partnership and be the wind in our sails on the journey to new great sport successes.”

Zagreb HC players Ivan Čupić, Jakov Gojun, Zvonimir Srna and Luka Lovre Klarica, and their coach Slavko Goluža, enjoyed the excellent Fresh Corner coffee, hot dogs and other snacks at the presentation of the cooperation. They used this opportunity to announce the upcoming season and the Machineseeker EHF Champions League match against the mighty Kiel.

On behalf of the team, coach Slavko Goluža thanked the club’s new sponsors for their hospitality and added: “We athletes will handle the sport aspect of this cooperation, and I will use this opportunity to announce the big match we have on Thursday at the Zagreb Arena. THW Kiel is one of the best teams in the world, led by their captain Domagoj Duvnjak. I believe this should be enough of an invitation for all the fans to come support us on Thursday at the Arena, and for my players this should be all the motivation they need. We have a difficult match ahead, but we always strive to win at our Arena and this time won’t be any different. I believe in my boys, and I believe they can compete with one of the most expensive teams today. With the help of our new sponsors and fans who will hopefully pack the Arena, anything is possible.”

Captain Jakov Gojun agreed with the coach, adding: “I am looking forward to the match on Thursday. I played in the Bundesliga for years, I know what it means to play against Zebras from north Germany, but I also know that, when playing in our Arena and with the support of our fans, we can compete with any team. In the past two years, we lacked a little bit of sport luck to achieve some of our goals, but I believe that with the help of our new sponsors and partners INA and Tifon we can push through. I believe in my teammates and I hereby invite all handball fans to come and support us on Thursday at Zagreb Arena. With your help, anything is possible.”

INA and Tifon have been successfully developing the Fresh Corner gastro concept at their retail locations for a number of years, and their cooperation is now also continuing through joint support to Zagreb Handball Club. With strong sponsors like INA and Tifon and their Fresh Corner, Zagreb Handball Club’s sports ambitions are undoubtedly growing.
